Use this step-by-step guide each week to complete work in the Verdant Learning Vault and submit correctly in Instructure.
-
1) Browse Available Courses
Start on the Verdant Learning Vault home page and locate the course cards (tiles). Each card is a course area such as Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Business Communications, Leadership, or Business Analytics. Your first job is to make sure you are opening the correct course for the module you are completing.
If you are unsure which course to open, check your Instructure module instructions first. Match the course name and module number before you click into anything so you don’t complete work in the wrong place.
-
2) Select a Course
Click the course card to open the course hub page. This page is your “home base” for that subject area. From here, you will find module links that take you to the exact readings, lecture notes, and quizzes for the week.
Once you are inside the course, locate the correct module number and open it. Stay inside that module until you finish the reading, lecture, quiz, and any submission steps listed.
-
3) Read the Course Description
Before starting the module work, read the course description on the course hub page. The description explains what the course focuses on, how the learning is structured, and what skills you are expected to build.
Taking one minute to read the description helps you understand the “why” behind the work and ensures you are following the correct workflow for the course.
-
4) Follow the Assignment List in the Module Page
Each module contains an assignment list that tells you what to do and in what order. Follow the steps exactly as listed. Most modules include three main parts: module reading, lecture notes, and a quiz. Skipping ahead usually lowers quiz performance and increases the chance you miss an instruction.
A typical module workflow looks like this:
- Complete the module reading first (take notes on key terms and examples).
- Review the lecture notes (these often expand the reading and highlight what matters most).
- Take the quiz after finishing the reading and lecture.
-
5) Submit the Assignment and Quiz Screenshot to Instructure
After you complete the module requirements, you will submit your work in Instructure. In most modules, your submission includes (1) the assignment deliverable (if required) and (2) a screenshot showing your quiz score. Your quiz score must be readable in the screenshot.
Before you click “Submit” in Instructure, double-check:
- You are submitting in the correct module and assignment area.
- Your uploaded files open correctly and are the correct items.
- Your quiz screenshot clearly shows the results/score.
-
